Visit the Clock & Watch Museum Winterthur

The Clock & Watch Museum Winterthur is located in the historic heart of Winterthur, a few minutes’ walk from the main railway station. If you would like to enrich your visit with additional background information, you can attend a themed "Museum at lunchtime" tour led by the Curator on the last Friday of every month. The Clock & Watch Museum Winterthur is in the same building as the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur (a museum of design, art and everyday culture), and a combined ticket is available for those wishing to visit both museums.

Enjoy coffee and cake or a freshly cooked meal in the Grand Café du Musée. The leafy courtyard is also an inviting spot in which to relax during the summer months.

Are you planning a private function in an inspiring location? We offer private tours of the current exhibitions throughout the year. You can round off your event with a drinks reception and buffet, organized by our in-house catering team.

Getting here by public transport

Walk from Winterthur main railway station to Untertor, continue along Marktgasse as far as the fountain, turn right into Untere Kirchgasse and continue to Kirchplatz. This takes just under 10 minutes on foot from the station.

Or travel two stops on bus number 1, 3, 5 or 14 from the main railway station, alighting at the Stadthaus stop. Then turn right into Oberer Graben, right into Marktgasse, left into Obere Kirchgasse and continue to Kirchplatz.
